RHSB celebrated founding partner Leroy Howard’s 90th birthday (July 10) on Monday July 11, 2016. Although retired, Leroy still comes to the office often. He is beloved by the employees as he is always smiling and enthusiastic.
Our roots in Dallas began in 1955 when Richard Roach, our founder, sold his first insurance policy. In 1959 he was joined by Leroy Howard and Max Smith to form Roach Howard & Smith. In 1972 Archie Hunter joined and the firm became Roach Howard Smith & Hunter. Roach Howard Smith & Barton is the result of the merger in 1998 of Roach Howard Smith & Hunter with Fort Worth agency L. T. Barton Insurance.
