Chubb’s Winter 2015 Edition of the Quarterly Construction Review

Chubb Personal Insurance recently released the Winter 2015 edition of the Quarterly Construction Review. This infographic provides an interactive snapshot of key residential construction cost trends updated each quarter.

Chubb is committed to making sure that customers’ homes are insured for the full cost of reconstruction. As part of this they closely monitor residential construction trends to keep customers informed on what it costs to build a home in today’s market.

2014  finished with positive growth in residential construction!

  • Higher construction activity nudged demand, resulting in a steady rise in the cost of materials & labor.
  • New home starts are up 13% year over year.
  • These trends are expected to strengthen in 2015 and into 2016.
