American Heart Association Names Karen Farris to Corporate Operations Committee

DALLAS Texas – Karen Farris president and chief executive officer of Roach Howard Smith & Hunter has been named to the Corporate Operations Committee of the American Heart Association (AHA).
Farris an expert risk manager with more than 30 years experience developing comprehensive global insurance solutions for commercial clients will serve three years on the committee. The Corporate Operations Committee oversees finance human resources production and distribution and audit and consulting services for the AHA.
“I am honored to be able to serve an organization as outstanding as the American Heart Association ” said Farris. “The AHA’s leadership and commitment to preventing heart attack and stroke is crucial to building a healthier America.”
Karen is a member of the Advisory Board for the Dallas Chapter of the MIT Enterprise Forum. She is a past chairman and board member of Assurex Global and a past president of both the Independent Insurance Agents of Dallas and the Dallas Chapter of the Society of CPCU.
