Risk & Insurance® Magazine Names Kathleen Roth a 2008 Risk & Insurance® Power Broker™ Release Date: 3/27/2008DALLAS, TEXAS – Kathleen Roth, Account Executive – Elite Client Services at Roach Howard Smith & Barton, has been named a 2008 Risk & Insurance® Power Broker™ in the category of Fine Art. The Risk & Insurance® Power Brokers™ is an annual listing of the most influential commercial insurance brokers in 26 industry practice groups. In 2008 151 individual brokers were identified as “Power Brokers.” The Power Broker™ designations are based on nominations provided by brokers and risk managers as judged by separate panels of risk managers for each industry segment. More than 300 risk managers were interviewed in the process of identifying and soliciting evaluating and judging the final nominations. Brokers were judged primarily on their creativity in solving risk-related problems during 2007 their demonstrated industry knowledge and their high level of client service. Kathleen Roth joined Roach Howard Smith & Barton in 2006 as head of Elite Client Services. She specializes in designing and customizing personal insurance programs for individuals with unique assets. A licensed agent since 1985 Kathleen was among the first to achieve the designation of Accredited Customer Service Representative (ACSR) through the Independent Insurance Agents of America (IIAA). Her background also includes several years teaching ACSR and insurance licensing classes for the IIAA Education Committee. ”I am honored to be included in the group of colleagues recognized for this achievement ” said Roth. “Art and music are a vital part of my life. I have the privilege of working with clients who have a passion for the arts. That work in itself has its own reward. To receive an award for something I thoroughly enjoy doing is an unexpected bonus.” Kathleen is a member of the Dallas Museum of Art the Nasher Sculpture Center the Dallas Arboretum the Modern Museum of Art and the Dallas Estate Planning Council. In her spare time she photographs the outdoors writes and illustrates children’s books and substitutes as a pianist/organist at area churches.
